Singer Christina Milian's beignet food truck is back in San Antonio with additional pop-up stops
Back by popular demand, singer Christina Milian's beignet truck has returned to San Antonio today and Wednesday.
While the singer and actress won't be serving up beignets this time, her business partner is bringing their Los Angles-based Beignet Box to San Antonio for a second time in their cross-country food truck tour. It is safe to say that the beignets were a hit in the Alamo City, as Milian and her partner Elizabeth Morris sold more than 7,500 beignets during their stop last week.
"San Antonio was a big success for us last week, and we had a lot of customers that missed out," Milian said in an email to MySA. "Either because they couldn’t make it, or because we sold out early. We’re happy to be back at a new location and get another taste of the town!”
After having to cancel its Dallas pop-up due to COVID-19 restrictions, the food truck decided to host additional pop-ups this week in the Alamo City.
Morris said the decision to come back was a "no brainer" and that they were excited to come back.
The food truck sells mini and full-sized beignets — the sweet treat synonymous with New Orleans.
The Beignet Box will be at the Smoke Shack at 3714 Broadway starting at 10 a.m. today and tomorrow until they sell out.
The food truck parked in front of Bird Bakery last week and sold out by 6:30 p.m. and included an appearance by the "Dip it Low" singer.
