Time time last year, San Antonio generated many buzz-worthy headlines.

In June of 2019, Mayor Ron Nirenberg  won his term and Whataburger surprised many when it sold its majority ownership stake to a Chicago investment firm. Let's just say the news of the sale was difficult for many locals to take.

One day before the Whataburger announcement, Schlitterbahn sold its New Braunfels and Galveston water parks to Ohio-based Cedar Fair Entertainment Co.

Perhaps the most buzz-worthy moment of June 2019 was when a juvenile went viral after licking ice cream from a carton of Blue Bell and then returning it to the freezer at a Lufkin Walmart.
