This Under Armor mask sold out immediately but you can pre-order it here
It somehow manages to look pretty cool.
“Stylish” isn’t the first word to describe masks. “Safe” would probably pop into my head first, along with “sign of the times” (that isn’t technically one word, but “zeitgeist” felt pretentious to type). Still, this Under Armour mask ($30.00 and currently sold out, but accepting pre-orders) looks pretty, dare I say, fly?
There’s something about its sleek lines, the minimalist black/charcoal color scheme, and … okay, it sorta looks like the masks characters wear in Mortal Kombat (that’s a safe for work clip, aside from the fact that you shouldn't be watching clips of video games at work). Maybe that makes me a huge nerd to notice, but I would never lie to you fine people about something as important as whether or not this Under Armour mask reminds me of Mortal Kombat.
This mask, like most of Under Armour’s stuff, is designed to be worn all day and while playing sports. It takes advantage of what UA calls its “Iso-Chill” fabric, which is aerated nylon and spandex, to dissipate heat, making the interior of the mask and ear loops feel cool to the touch all day. The mask is washable, with a Polyester outer layer, polyurethane insert, and Nylon/Spandex interior. According to the Under Armour website, these masks will ship on or before August 17.
