The San Antonio Area Baseball Coaches Association is partnering with the Missions and McCombs Ford West to host a doubleheader for high school seniors on July 2 at Wolff Stadium.

The first game, set to start at 4 p.m., will match up players from sub-Class 6A and private schools. An all-Class 6A game will be at 7 p.m. Each game will be nine innings.

“This is a tremendous event for San Antonio High School seniors,” said David Collenback, the former O’Connor coach and current SAABCA president “After what’s been a difficult senior year for many of these players, we’re excited to partner with McCombs Ford West and the San Antonio Missions and give these kids the proper sendoff they deserve.”

Devine’s George Villa and McCollum’s Geoffrey Curtin will manage the first game. Taft’s Tim Goins and MacArthur’s Tim Alfieri will head up the second game.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students or school personnel. They can be purchased beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday at or at the stadium ticket office.

Social distancing protocols will be set for fans.
